RBC launches iPhone and Blackberry apps!

RBC has launched iPhone and BlackBerry apps to cater to the increasing number of Canadians who are banking from their smartphones.

The apps allow customers to view account balances and details, pay bills, transfer funds and send email money transfers. RBC says the service is as secure as the bank’s online banking site.
Seventy-nine per cent of Canadians own a mobile device and 44 per cent of those expressed an interest in mobile banking, according to RBC’s market research.
The new apps are not browser-based and were designed specifically for mobile devices, RBC says.
